ACCESS U and Ford renew partnership to help scholar-athletes achieve their college and soccer dreams

‘FORD QUÉ GOLAZO DE GRANTS’ TO AWARD $50,000

ACCESS U Foundation is proud to announce their continued partnership with Ford through the award-winning Ford Qué Golazo De Grants program, with support from Alianza de Futbol. For a second consecutive summer, ten (10) grants will be awarded throughout the 2024 Alianza de Futbol tour to empower scholar-athletes in reaching their dreams of attending college and playing Division 1 soccer.

Ten (10) grant recipients will each receive a full scholarship to ACCESS U and a $5,000 award. The scholarship provides comprehensive academic and athletic resources throughout high school (learn more here), including academic tutors, SAT/ACT prep courses, college counselors and soccer recruiting advisors. The $5,000 prize can be applied towards costs related to possible future college matriculation (for example, travel to visit college campus, travel to attend a college sports team tryout or to assist with college tuition).

To be eligible, applicant must:

Be between the ages of 14 to 18 years old
Be a resident of the 50 United States / D.C.
Be enrolled in high school and maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
Submit a video answering the following questions:
How has soccer contributed to your life on and off the field?
Why should you be selected to receive a grant?
How do you plan to use the money to achieve your college goals?

Participate in any 2024 Alianza de Futbol event (tournaments or tryouts).

The 2024 application process is now open. In addition to the video submission and participation in an Alianza de Futbol event, applicants must complete the online application form on the Ford Qué Golazo De Grants website (HERE).

Ford recently won Gold at the Hispanic Marketing Council’s 2024 Strategic Excellence Awards for its marketing program in partnership with Alianza de Futbol and ACCESS U, which includes the Ford Qué Golazo de Grants initiative. It was entered in the “Shopper and/or Experiential Impact” category.
